Popular Jamaican artiste Adidja Azim Palmer professionally known as Vybz Kartel, is now engaged to his Turkish girlfriend Sidem Ozturk.
The king of Dancehall music, who is currently serving a life sentence for the murder of an associate, Clive ‘Lizard’ Williams, proposed to Sidem during a scheduled visit mid-2022. The two are set to get married, despite Vybz being locked up.
“So how it happened is, we were just calling each other hubby and wifey and he was like, ‘Well we’re heading towards marriage so calling you wifey or you calling me hubby is not serious enough,’ so he was like, “You’re my fiancé, we’re gonna get married’,” said Sidem.
The Turkish delight who works as a social worker moved to Kingston, Jamaica to be closer to her soon to be hubby. She revealed that it does get hard for her seeing as he is locked up, but she is determined to make things work.
Vybz, who continues to make bangers behind bars, was found guilty of murder in 2014 along with three others; Shawn Shawn Storm Campbell, Kahira Jones and Andre St John. He allegedly killed Lizard over two missing guns.
