ZIMBABWEAN MAN CREATES OVER 600 ICE CREAM FLAVOURS

Zimbabwe-born living in South Africa has embarked on a mission to change the narrative on the way Africans perceive their food by creating over 600 ice-cream flavors from leaves and other ingredients.

Tapiwa Guzha, a Ph.D. holder in Molecular Biology and an Ice cream restaurant owner in Cape Town, using his expertise invented the flavors from Baobab, edible clay, and bitter leaf among others.

Guzha wants Africans to be proud of their culinary culture, therefore, decolonizing the food landscape on the continent.

One customer interviewed said the unique flavors created by the ice-cream guru teach people about cultures throughout Africa.

Africa is blessed with so many tribes with a rich culture and a variety of tasty cuisines, hence it should not be so hard to spark an international revolution with food recipes.
