The Africa Centre for Disease Control and Prevention says a total of 10,896,302 COVID-19 cases have been reported in Africa.

This is according to its latest update published on its website on February 4, 2022.

According to the agency, 10,896,302 cases have been confirmed, 9,917,757 patients have recovered, and 241,112 deaths have been recorded in the continent.

South Africa, Morocco, Tunisia, and Ethiopia are among the countries with the most cases on the continent.

Southern Africa is the most afflicted region, followed by the northern and eastern regions of the continent.

The Central Africa region is the least affected region according to the agency.

Meanwhile, over 250,000 infections have been verified in Nigeria, with 230,126 people being discharged and 20,509 people still being infected.
