Elon Musk’s son Xavier Musk, whom he shares with his ex-wife Justine Wilson has filed documents to change his name, cutting family ties and wants to be officially identified as a female moving forward.
Xavier, filed the court documents in April in Santa Monica, California and the hearing is set for this week. His reason being, “Gender Identity and the fact that I no longer wish to be related to my biological father in any way, shape or form.”
The 18-year-old also wishes to change his name to Vivian Jenna Wilson, taking his mother’s last name and dropping his father’s name.
The reason as to why Xavier has filed to drop his father’s name is unknown, it is also unclear if Elon was made aware of the public move before it actually happened and what his thoughts are on the whole issue.
Elon and Justine tied the knot in 2000, they welcomed their first child Nevada Alexander Musk in 2002 but he passed at 10 weeks old due of sudden infant death syndrome (SIDS).
They then welcomed their twin boys Griffin and Xavier Musk in April 2004. In 2006, the couple welcomed triplets Kai, Saxon and Damian Musk.
