KENYAN POLICE TEAM EXCELS IN UAE SNIPER COMPETITION

On Monday, February 20, Kenya’s top team, the Special Operations Group (SOG), put on an outstanding display in the United Arab Emirates (UAE). Kenyan Special Forces stunned the spectators at the UAE SWAT Challenge 2023 when one of their marksmen strategically fired a sniper weapon at a far-off target.

The military force then went on to meticulously shatter a door before quickly storming inside a structure. After observing the performance of the Kenyan Special Forces, the commentator was heard praising the group.

The Kenyan team was made up of top members of the General Service Unit, the Directorate of Criminal Investigations, and the Kenya Administration Police Service (AP). Kenyan Police Unit shown exceptional skill by selecting target doors, blasting their ways, and clearing all the rooms with a torrent of weaponry.

The Special Operations Group’s work was praised by a commentator as “excellent,” and they completed the task in some of the competition’s quickest speeds (SOG). The Kenya National Police Service (NPS) is proud to have some of the world’s and even Africa’s greatest special forces.

Recce Squad, Administration Police Special Force, Rapid Deployment Unit, Critical Infrastructure Protection Unit, Security of Government Buildings Unit, and Rural Border Patrol Unit are some of these specialized units (RBPU).

In prior assaults, like as those at Westgate, Dusit 2, and Garissa University, Kenyan special forces engaged terrorists and saved hundreds of civilians. Several special operations units from across the world participated in the UAE SWAT Challenge, which was held in the Al Rowaiyah training facility for the Dubai Police.

In five test categories, including tactical, assault, officer rescues, tower events, and obstacle courses, it was stated that over sixty special task teams from across the world engaged in competition.
