Kenya’s veteran music artiste Nyashinski’s former manager Fakii Liwali has opened up on why he and Nyashinki are no longer working together and where their relationship stands.

Liwali had been Nyashinski’s manager ever since the rapper launched his solo music career over ten years ago.

According to Liwali who sat down with YouTuber Richard Njau, the two had different perspectives and disagreed on Nyashinski’s brand. They would argue a lot about things business wise and so they agreed to disagree.

“My relationship with him changed, in that, our views started becoming different. How he would view something and how I’d view the same thing started changing…we were going in different directions. We had a bit of strain in terms of how to deal with some issues so there were times we would really argue from a business point of view,” said Fakii.

This however did not put a strain on their friendship as the two are still close friends. So much that Fakii was Nyashinski’s best man. He even trained his new management and even helped the team understand more about Nyashinki’s brand.

“One of the things that I will always respect Nyash about is that we would sit and argue about something and after we were done with the argument, he would ask where I want to eat,” Fakii stated.

Nyashinski began his musical career in the early 2000’s as a member of the Kleptomaniax group. The group released music such as ‘Tuendelee’ and ‘Swing Swing’ that became hits all over Kenya and that Kenyans enjoy up to date.

He then left Kenya and relocated to the USA in search of greener pastures and became a truck driver. Things were not as easy as he expected. He returned to his home country Kenya. Back home, Nyashinski decided to go back to his music but this time round, as a solo artiste and began working with Liwali up to 2019 where they parted ways.
