A Namibian teenager who raped and murdered a woman and later went back to the crime scene to cut off one of the victims’ body parts has been sentenced to 16 years imprisonment.
The 17-year-old boy who was 14 at the time of committing the crimes, raped and killed 57-year-old Sara Jagger by stoning her to death in the Bahnhof area of Rehoboth district on the night of September 24 in 2018.
The boy admitted at the onset of his trial in January this year that after killing the victim, he later returned to the crime scene the following morning, where he then cut off Jagger’s right foot with a knife and further stabbed the deceased several times.
Windhoek High Court later convicted the adolescent on seven charges in February and on Monday, Judge Dinnah Usiku sentenced the teenager to 16 years in prison.
