NIGERIA- In his message to supporters and all Nigerians, Labour Party presidential candidate Peter Obi urged his supporters to remain calm.
At the Delta State airport in Asaba, the former Anambra governor made the appeal Tuesday morning.
A citizen on the same flight as Obi interviewed him on his way to Abuja.

“We should remain calm, consistent, and persistent,” Obi said.
“All we are asking for is good governance. Let the government care for the poor people.”
There are peaceful protests in some parts of the country, as citizens allege that results have been altered, that they have been over-voted, and that they have been disenfranchised.

Currently, Obi is third behind Bola Tinubu of the All Progressives Congress, APC, and Atiku Abubakar of the People’s Democratic Party, PDP.
Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, has officially declared at least 20 states.
Result announcements for states are continuing today at the Abuja national collation centre.
