Tunisian authorities are alleged to be pushing Black/ Brown African migrants from Cameroon, Sudan and other countries deep into the desert by Human Rights groups such as Human Rights Watch.
Extreme desert heat 40C (104F) and lack of water has left many dead. The authorities include Tunisian security forces such as the police, military and the national guard. The government has called these allegations absurd and meritless.
Black/ Brown African migrants fleeing destitution and grinding poverty back home make their way to Europe and have to pass through the Tunisia.
The Tunisian President Kais Saied among others have alleged a major conspiracy by Sub-Saharan Africans to populate the country and turn it to another Black nation.
African migrants lingering around the country in search of basic needs such as food and water are in desperate conditions since the security forces don’t allow Tunisians give humanitarian assistance.
