Liverpool have booked their place in the Carabao Cup final courtesy of a 2-0 win against Arsenal at the Emirates. A brace from Diogo Jota sent the Reds to victory.

Arsenal could have scored an opener as Alexandre Lacazette clanged the crossbar with a free kick. Bukayo Saka had nipped in front of Andy Robertson to win a foul just outside the box.

The game had just lasted for under 20 minutes before Mikel Arteta’s side went a goal down. Jota brilliantly picked up a pass from Trent Alexander-Arnold before cutting inside Takehiro Tomiyasu and Ben White.

He found the bottom corner with a slightly scuffed finish past the stretched arm of Aaron Ramsdale.

The second half was end to end as Arsenal pushed hard for an equalizer. Liverpool continued to look dangerous. The visitors wrapped up with the win at just over 10 minutes to go.

Jota running off the shoulder of Ben White and dinking over Ramsdale. The goal was initially chalked off for offside, a VAR check showed that Jota was level and the decision was overturned.

Liverpool is now set to face Chelsea at Wembley in the finals next month.
