BOTSWANA- Olympic medalists in Botswana are being provided with fully furnished 2 bed-roomed apartments with all furniture, internet, and DSTV, at government expense after being awarded prize money by both the government and the private sector.
The Minister announced that Houses will now be the standard Prize for Botswana Olympians in the future.
With a population of just 2.5 million, Botswana has become one of Africa’s Athletic Powerhouses in recent years because of its “Excellence Schools”, which provide boarding schools with sports infrastructure in order to develop Students, Athletes,freely for Botswana.
The team whose youngest athlete was 19 fully owned the houses all at the government’s cost.
