Liverpool beat AC Milan 2-1 on Tuesday in their Champions League group stage clash. This win made Liverpool become the first English club to win all six Champions League group games.
Mohammed Salah’s and Divock Origi’s goals ruled out Milan’s Fikayo Tomori’s first half goal to seal Liverpool’s comeback, ensuring they qualified for the knock out stages with 18 points.
“Honestly I don’t feel a lot of pride in football because most of the time I expect good things to happen. But tonight fills me with a lot of pride,” Klopp said.
With eight changes made on the starting line-up, Liverpool had unfamiliar faces in the lineup.
“With that many changes … the boys have to then be confident enough to show how good they are,” he added.
