International Women’s Day was concluded on Tuesday and singer Don Jazzy did not fail to appreciate the leading women in his record label Mavin Records.

The record label is lead by strong minded women from all walks of life. Mavin Records which is attempting to break the bias and give women an equal chance has in turn given women a lot of opportunities and a lot of leadership roles.

According to Jazzy, all the directors in the label are females while 45% of his staff are also women.

“100 % of Mavin Directors are women, 45% of Mavin staff are women. 25%of Mavin artistes are women (past and present),” read the post.

Jazzy also wants everyone to know that to him all women are a walking masterpiece as he affirmed that God did create man before woman which according to him was a draft (the man)before the final masterpiece was unveiled.

“Cheers to the women at Mavin. You’re exactly what the world needs and we are so grateful to have you! #breakthebias,” read the post.

Emmanuella Nnadozie who is the head of marketing at Mavin, spoke to Tush Magazine where she revealed what gender equality means to her stating that it means getting a fair chance.

“Not looking down on me because of my gender, and giving me a fair and equal chance in life and at work, It entails allowing me to be and live my life without diminishing my worth or capabilities simply because I am a woman,” she said.

Mavin Records has produced some of Nigeria’s biggest female singers including Tiwa Savage, Ayra Starr and Rema.
