Bournemouth beat Nottingham Forest 1-0 on Tuesday to earn automatic promotion to the Premier League after two seasons in the second-tier Championship.
It was a disappointing opening 45 minutes for Bournemouth who struggled to find a goal. Forest had the best chance of the half after Sam Surridge fired the ball off the crossbar in the 32nd minute. It took 83 minutes but Bournemouth finally broke the deadlock. A perfectly executed free-kick allowed Kieffer Moore to slot the ball past goalkeeper Brice Samba.

Bournemouth previously spent five seasons in the Premier League before being relegated in 2020. They will join Championship title winners Fulham, who earned promotion on April 19 after their 3-0 win over Preston. They were crowned champions on Monday evening after their 7-0 win over Luton.

The final promotion spot will be determined by the four-team playoffs that will feature Forest and Huddersfield.
