Star footballer Cristiano Ronaldo reportedly wants to leave Manchester United this summer if they receive an appropriate offer for him this summer. The Portuguese superstar wants to play in the Champions League yet United failed to qualify for Europe’s top club competition last season.

It is also understood that the star striker is concerned that his club is yet to make any improvements to the squad in the current transfer window. So far, thirteen players have left the club this summer, but none has arrived in the club yet.

He still has one year left in his two year deal that he signed last summer after making a sensational return to United from Juventus. United does not regard Ronaldo a player for sale and it would be a blow to United’s prestige if they were to lose one of the greatest players they have ever had.

Ronaldo, who is 37 now, still plays football at a very high level and has adapted his game in such a way that he continues to score goals despite not being as electric as he used to be before. His fitness can never be questioned and it comes as no surprise that he still wants to compete at the highest level.

Ronaldo is currently the top scorer in the history of Europe’s finest competition with 141 goals, with arch rival Messi second with 125.
