Fans have ripped into “finished fraud” Cristiano Ronaldo as his Al-Nassr move went from bad to worse on Thursday night.
Ronaldo made his second start for the club against Al-Ittihad in the semi-finals of the Saudi Super Cup, having joined Al-Nassr on a free transfer at the start of this month. However, the five-time Ballon d’Or winner was unable to prevent his new side from crashing out of the competition as they fell to a 3-1 defeat in Riyadh
Romarinho and Abderrazak Hamdallah put the home side ahead, while Anderson Talisca got Al Nassr back into the game, giving CR7 and co hope once more.
However, their excitement was destroyed in the 94′ minute, when Muhannad Shanqeeti got another to give Al Ittihad a 3-1 lead, meaning the visitors were kept out of the cup.
This means Ronaldo has now gone two games in a row without finding the net, in turn suffering his first big blow in Saudi Arabian football.
